Domestic Violence: She Is Someone
When we speak of a woman as a victim, we often try to make her relatable, as if it requires that she be more than simply a human being to have value. The truth of it is, though, that no one, regardless of gender or role, deserves to be abused by someone they love (or who supposedly loves them). Everyone should have autonomy over their own bodies because everyone is someone.
